Role Overview: Finance Manager Jobs in Lusaka
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and Technical Director, the Finance Manager will oversee the financial management of the organization and its projects. This full-time position based in Lusaka involves ensuring accurate accounting, donor compliance, project financial tracking, budgeting, cash flow management, and strengthening internal financial controls. The Finance Manager will deliver timely financial insights to support both operational and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage overall financial accounting and reporting functions.
- Oversee donor and project financial management ensuring compliance with donor requirements.
- Prepare and submit accurate monthly financial statements and quarterly donor reports.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls and compliance procedures.
- Coordinate and support the finance team to optimize performance.
Deliverables
- Accurate monthly financial statements and audit-ready documentation.
- Timely quarterly donor financial reports and monthly project budget vs. expenditure analyses.
- Annual organizational budgets and financial forecasts.
- Updated cash flow projections and improved financial systems.
- Compliance with statutory and tax requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Full or partial professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ZICA, CPA, or equivalent.
- Minimum of five years’ experience in finance and accounting, including at least three years managing donor-funded projects or NGO finances.
- Proven experience preparing donor financial reports, managing multiple project budgets, and ensuring audit compliance.
- Familiarity with financial management software and advanced Excel reporting tools.
- Experience working with consulting firms, NGOs, development programs, or implementing partners is highly desirable.

- Expertise in project proposal budgeting and cost recovery models.
- Background in agriculture, livelihoods, climate resilience, or community development projects.
