About the Role
First Quantum Minerals is looking for a motivated Hydrogeological Technician to support groundwater monitoring and hydrogeological operations.
This role plays a key part in ensuring safe and stable groundwater conditions within mining operations while supporting field investigations and data collection.

Key Responsibilities
• Assisting with field inspections, drilling supervision, and data collection
• Supporting borehole construction, grouting, and infrastructure maintenance
• Conducting groundwater monitoring and hydraulic testing
• Assisting in hydrogeological mapping and geophysical survey activities
• Performing pit inspections and ensuring compliance with safety standards
• Capturing and managing hydrogeological data in databases
• Coordinating drill-site logistics, clearing, and pad construction
• Collaborating with geology, survey, and mining teams

Minimum Requirements
• Grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma in Water Engineering, Hydrology, or Mining Engineering
• Valid manual Driver’s License
• Basic Health & Safety and First Aid knowledge
• Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
