About the Workshop Manager Role

As Workshop Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of daily workshop activities. You will supervise repair and maintenance tasks on trailers and trucks, uphold safety and housekeeping standards, and lead a team of technicians and apprentices. Your oversight will guarantee that all jobs are completed on schedule while maintaining high quality and productivity standards.

• Manage and supervise daily workshop operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with safety protocols.
• Oversee trailer and truck repair processes, including breakdown response and emergency callouts.

Candidate Requirements

• Valid Class B Driver’s License; Heavy Duty Vehicle Driver’s License is advantageous.
• Grade 12 Certificate with Mathematics and Physical Science, or equivalent technical qualification.
• At least 3 years of experience in trailer repairs and servicing.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working on Shacman truck repairs and servicing.
• Proven supervisory experience spanning at least 3 years.
• Technical knowledge of hydraulics, suspensions, air brakes, and truck electrical systems.
• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate workshop personnel.
