Role Overview: Warehouse Manager Jobs in Sinazongwe

The Warehouse Manager will oversee all aspects of warehouse operations including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. The position demands a commitment to operational excellence, safety compliance, and inventory accuracy. The successful candidate will work closely with internal departments and external vendors to optimize workflows and contribute to cost-effective supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full operational ownership of warehouse and stock management processes.
• Conduct physical inspections of all incoming materials and verify before creating Goods Received Notes (GRNs).
• Maintain compliance with FIFO/LIFO stock rotation principles.
• Control stock adjustments including damages and returns to ensure accuracy.
• Verify purchase requisitions (PRs) for stock availability and specification accuracy, rejecting incomplete or inaccurate submissions.
• Ensure purchase orders (POs) are issued only against approved PRs and enforce compliance on emergency and petty cash purchases.
• Update the ERP system daily to reflect real-time stock movements and conduct monthly stock reconciliations.
• Prepare inventory data for SAP migration and ensure all material issuance is documented through system-generated Issue Vouchers.
• Prohibit undocumented stock movements and monitor departmental consumption patterns.
• Conduct monthly cycle counts and quarterly full stock audits, submitting detailed inventory control reports.
• Coordinate with Finance to ensure accurate PO–GRN–Invoice matching and maintain comprehensive audit documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of six years’ experience in warehouse or inventory control roles.
• Proven expertise with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Strong understanding of financial controls and audit compliance requirements.

Key Competencies and Skills

• Demonstrated ability to streamline warehouse operations to maximize productivity and reduce costs.
• In-depth knowledge of inventory control principles and stock rotation methodologies.
• Strong grasp of logistics, inbound and outbound shipping, and overall supply chain dynamics.
• Effective collaboration skills with suppliers, vendors, and third-party logistics providers.
• Comprehensive understanding of warehouse safety standards, with experience implementing safety procedures and conducting risk assessments.
• Excellent analytical skills and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure to proactively resolve operational challenges.
