Key Responsibilities for Storeman Jobs in Kapiri Mposhi

• Receive all stock strictly against approved Purchase Orders (POs), verifying deliveries by PO, delivery notes, and physical quantity and condition.
• Report any discrepancies immediately before stock booking.
• Capture all receipts accurately in the FMP system and ensure alignment with SAP records.
• Issue stock only against valid Work Orders, ensuring all transactions are recorded in real time.
• Maintain strict inventory control to prevent loss, theft, or misuse by ensuring items are clearly labelled, correctly bin located, and traceable in the system.
• Monitor Minimum Reorder Levels (MROL) and proactively escalate stock shortages.
• Manage slow-moving and obsolete stock in coordination with procurement.
• Conduct daily cycle counts, weekly partial counts, and monthly full reconciliations, investigating and resolving all variances promptly.
• Support internal and external audits to ensure physical stock matches system records at all times.
• Maintain complete traceability of receipts, issues, and returns with valid documentation captured in real time.
• Ensure proper shift handovers, including open transactions, pending issues, and stock discrepancies, with consistent controls across all shifts.
• Coordinate strictly through Procurement for all sourcing and ordering activities, escalating urgent stock shortages or system discrepancies immediately.
• Adhere to all safety and compliance procedures, including hazardous material handling and company policies.

Employment Details

Candidate Accountability and Compliance

The Storeman is directly accountable for the accuracy, integrity, and control of all stock within the store. Compliance with all system controls is mandatory. This includes issuing stock only with valid Work Orders, receiving stock only with approved Purchase Orders, and capturing all transactions promptly in real time. Any breach of these controls or attempts to bypass procedures will be treated as serious misconduct and may result in disciplinary action.
