About the Logistics Intern Role

As a Logistics Intern, you will support the daily operations of the logistics team, gaining practical exposure to shipment monitoring, documentation, and client communication. Key Responsibilities for the Logistics Intern

  • Monitor shipment deliveries to ensure cargo arrives safely and on schedule at designated destinations.
  • Prepare and dispatch detailed loading orders to drivers, verifying compliance with transportation regulations and arranging escorts when necessary.
  • Compile and distribute daily tracking reports to clients, updating them on cargo status, progress, and any delays.
  • Verify clearing documentation and send pre-alerts to suppliers, agents, clients, or warehouse teams; coordinate with clearing agents to track progress.
  • Generate accurate fleet manifests, ensuring all documentation meets regulatory standards.
  • Receive proof of delivery (POD) documents and receipts from drivers, scan copies, and submit them to supervisors for record-keeping.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Logistics & Transport, Purchasing & Supply, or a related field.
  • Residency in Ndola, Kitwe, or elsewhere on the Copperbelt.
  • No prior experience necessary; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
