About the LHD Operator Role

As an LHD Operator, you will be responsible for operating the JCHX Kingant underground 7-ton diesel KAT307 Load-Haul-Dump (LHD) equipment. Your primary focus will be to efficiently load and transport blasted rock and other materials during shaft sinking activities, ensuring smooth underground mining processes while adhering to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities for LHD Operator Jobs in Chililabombwe

• Load and haul blasted rock from excavation zones following drilling and blasting operations
• Transport underground materials including steel supports and piping to designated locations
• Discharge loads safely into passes or stockpiles as instructed
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections to maintain operational safety
• Comply with all mine safety regulations and procedures during all activities
• Promptly report any mechanical faults or issues to maintenance teams
• Carry out additional duties assigned by supervisors to support project objectives

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum of Grade 12 Certificate
• Valid Competence Certificate for Sandvik or Epiroc underground loaders
• Proven experience operating articulated underground LHD machines
• Basic knowledge of machine and equipment maintenance practices
• Previous experience on shaft sinking projects is advantageous
• Valid silicosis certificate confirming fitness for underground work
• Physically fit to perform demanding underground mining tasks
