Institution: Kaizen Institute of Zambia Limited (KIZ)
Position: Chief Executive Officer
Location: Lusaka

The KAIZEN Institute of Zambia Limited (KIZ) was established in 2014 as a public institution registered under Cap 388 of the Laws of Zambia as a company limited by guarantee. The mandate of the Institute is to promote quality and productivity improvement in both private and public enterprises using KAIZEN philosophy and methodology for business excellence.

Job Purpose
To coordinate and manage day-to-day operations of the Institute and provide strategic direction in order to achieve the objectives of the Institute.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
– Spearhead the development, implementation and monitoring of KAIZEN strategies and policies.
– Provide effective leadership in achieving the KAIZEN mandate as enshrined in the strategic plan.
– Ensure efficient management of financial, material and human resources in order to achieve organizational objectives.
– Ensure effective implementation of the performance management system in order to enhance productivity.
– Discharge duties as an ex-officio member of the Board.
– Effectively implement decisions of the Board.
– Proactively lead resource mobilization.
– Develop and implement effective management systems, standards and procedures.
– Formulate and implement KAIZEN advocacy and educational programmes.
– Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to advance the Institute’s vision and mission.

Qualifications
– Full Form V or Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
– Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Production Management, or equivalent.
– Possession of a master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
– Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar senior management position.
