Mwinilunga Trades Training Institute, a reputable public institution operating under the Ministry of Technology and Science, is seeking qualified and motivated Zambian nationals to join its team as an Internal Auditor. This full-time opportunity offers a key role in ensuring effective governance, risk management, and compliance within the institution, located in Mwinilunga, Northwestern Zambia.

Position Overview: Internal Auditor Jobs in Mwinilunga

Reporting directly to the Principal, the Internal Auditor will play a crucial role in reviewing and strengthening the Institute’s governance frameworks, risk management strategies, and internal controls. The successful candidate will conduct comprehensive audits, including information systems and compliance audits, to support informed decision-making and promote adherence to relevant legislation and policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Review governance processes to ensure their effectiveness and alignment with institutional objectives.
• Evaluate risk management procedures to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend improvements.
• Conduct audits of information systems to detect risks and support management decisions.
• Perform compliance audits to verify adherence to applicable laws, policies, guidelines, and regulations.
• Prepare timely internal audit and management reports to guide decision-making processes.
• Maintain an internal audit database to track audit findings and recommendations efficiently.
• Carry out any other audit-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Full Grade 12 School Certificate with at least five (5) credits including English and Mathematics.
• Diploma in Accountancy or Auditing, ZICA Licentiate, or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant work experience in auditing or a related field.
• Sound knowledge of audit procedures, risk management, and internal control systems.
• Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and proficient report writing abilities.
• High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in accounting and audit software.
• Membership in the Institute of Internal Auditors of Zambia is required.
