About the Insurance Manager Role
The successful candidate will take ownership of the company’s insurance portfolio, ensuring comprehensive coverage of assets, operations, and exposures. This role involves managing insurance-related risks, coordinating policies, and maintaining strong relationships with insurance providers and brokers. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the company’s interests through effective insurance management and claims handling.
Key Responsibilities for Insurance Manager Jobs in Lusaka
- Manage all insurance and claims activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Gather and evaluate information related to insurance and risk across company functions.
- Negotiate with stakeholders and insurance providers to secure optimal terms and reduce costs.

- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and insurance providers for premiums, claims, and pricing.
- Advise on asset protection and claims processes to minimise risk exposure.

- Monitor policy renewals and ensure premiums are paid promptly.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures.
- Maintain accurate insurance records and documentation.
- Prepare weekly insurance reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with relevant insurance regulations and company policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Executive Management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience in insurance management, risk management, or a similar capacity.
- Comprehensive knowledge of insurance principles, claims management, and risk assessment.
- Familiarity with the Zambian insurance regulatory framework.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
