About the Role: Human Resource Recruitment Supervisor Jobs in Lusaka
As the Human Resource Recruitment Supervisor, you will lead and coordinate all recruitment activities, ensuring the timely attraction and onboarding of qualified candidates. Your role will extend beyond recruitment to include employee relations, HR administration, compliance, performance management, and staff development. You will play a pivotal role in implementing company policies, supporting workforce planning, and maintaining operational excellence within the HR department.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment process including manpower planning, job advertising, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, shortlisting, and onboarding.
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to meet staffing requirements efficiently.
- Collaborate with departmental managers to understand and fulfill their hiring needs.
- Maintain accurate candidate databases, recruitment trackers, and generate hiring reports.
- Conduct reference checks, background verifications, and manage employment documentation.
- Supervise onboarding and orientation to ensure new employees integrate smoothly.
- Manage employee records, HR databases, contracts, and confidential files with precision.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and HR procedures.
- Monitor attendance, leave, overtime, and disciplinary actions effectively.
- Support payroll preparation by verifying HR data and reporting accurately.
- Address employee relations issues including grievances, conflict resolution, and disciplinary procedures.
- Coordinate performance management activities such as appraisals and development planning.
- Identify training needs and organize staff learning and development programs.
- Prepare monthly HR reports and provide statistical data for management decision-making.
- Facilitate employee confirmations, transfers, promotions, and contract renewals.
- Ensure statutory compliance and participate in HR audits and inspections.
- Supervise junior HR staff and promote professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support operational goals.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a strong emphasis on recruitment and talent acquisition.
- Membership with the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) is advantageous.
- Comprehensive knowledge of recruitment processes, labor legislation, and HR operations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong organizational capabilities and effective problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well under pressure.
