GENERAL WORKER

Job description

The general worker will support the company’s operations by performing manual labor, cleaning, and maintenance tasks under supervision. Responsibilities include loading/unloading goods, assisting technicians, operating basic tools, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Key requirements often include physical fitness, adherence to safety procedures, and reliable attendance. 

Key Responsibilities

Manual Handling: Loading, offloading, receiving, storing, and moving materials or goods.
Site Maintenance: Cleaning work areas, clearing debris, maintaining grounds, and disposing of waste.
Operational Support: Assisting skilled workers (e.g., machine operators, technicians) and managing simple production tasks.
Safety Compliance: Adhering to safety and health regulations, using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and reporting hazards to supervisors.
Asset Care: Operating and maintaining tools and equipment. 

Requirements and Qualifications

Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects and work in varied weather or demanding conditions.
Education: Typically requires a high school diploma (Grade 12 or Grade 9) or equivalent.
Skills: Ability to follow simple instructions, basic communication skills, and willingness to work shifts or overtime.
Experience: Up to 1 year of experience in an industrial facility is an added advntage
