Key Responsibilities for Front Office Supervisor Jobs in Lusaka
The Front Office Supervisor reports directly to the Assistant Manager – Front Office and oversees Front Office Assistants and Receptionists. The role involves operational management, customer service excellence, financial oversight, personnel development, and administrative duties, including:
- Supporting the Front Office Management Team to provide courteous, professional, and flexible service at all times.
- Maintaining strict control over room keys and coordinating with Housekeeping to ensure VIP cleaning schedules are met.
- Managing repair and maintenance requests and understanding the hotel’s rate structures and promotions.
- Implementing improvements based on consumer audits and fostering collaboration with other departments to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Ensuring accurate guest data entry and maintaining guest history records, including pre-registration of repeat guests.
- Delivering the brand promise by leading the team to provide outstanding guest service and handling guest complaints efficiently.
- Maximizing employee productivity through multi-skilling and flexible scheduling while managing costs prudently.
- Assisting with training programs, coaching, mentoring, and enforcing Hyatt’s values and grooming standards.
- Updating information on hotel facilities and submitting incident and lost and found reports.
- Representing Hyatt professionally and maintaining strong industry relationships with business partners and competitors.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Full Grade 12 Certificate with at least 5 O’levels.
- Minimum Diploma in Hospitality Management; a Degree is an advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in front office operations, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.
