About the Role: Fleet Management Expert Jobs in Lusaka

The successful candidate will play a critical role in diagnosing and resolving installation challenges related to fleet management and monitoring systems. You will ensure telematics and tracking systems operate at peak efficiency, provide structured technical training to internal teams, and develop comprehensive technical documentation including standard operating procedures and final handover reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve installation and configuration issues of fleet management and monitoring systems.
• Optimize telematics and vehicle tracking systems to ensure full operational efficiency.
• Deliver structured training sessions and mentorship to build internal technical expertise.
• Develop technical documentation, SOPs, and prepare final handover reports.
• Support integration and troubleshooting of GPS tracking, telematics, and monitoring platforms.
• Ensure smooth deployment and operational continuity across multiple sites.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Automotive Engineering, or related disciplines. A master’s degree is a plus.
• Professional certifications in telematics, GPS tracking, fleet management systems, or IoT platforms such as Geotab, Wialon, Teltonika, Cartrack, Samsara, or equivalents.
• Project Management (PMP/PRINCE2) or ITIL certifications are advantageous.
• At least seven (7) years of hands-on experience in fleet management systems, telematics, vehicle tracking, and monitoring deployments.
• Proven expertise in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of fleet management hardware and software.
• Strong knowledge of CAN-bus integration, fuel monitoring, driver behavior monitoring modules, and real-time tracking platforms.
• Experience with API integrations, databases, dashboards, and reporting tools.
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor technical staff effectively.
• Experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa is a distinct advantage.
