About the Driver Position

The primary purpose of this role is to provide safe, timely, and efficient driving services to facilitate the transportation of farm produce and poultry orders. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all deliveries are handled professionally and that vehicles are maintained in excellent condition.

Key Responsibilities for Driver Jobs in Lusaka

• Operate vehicles safely and in full compliance with Zambian traffic laws and regulations.
• Deliver farm produce to various locations as scheduled.
• Transport poultry orders during early hours according to customer requirements.
• Ensure the safety, comfort, and punctuality of any passengers transported.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper working order of vehicles at all times.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and promptly report any mechanical issues or abnormalities to your supervisor.
• Keep essential equipment such as car jack, spare tire, and first aid kit in good working condition within the vehicle.
• Maintain accurate vehicle log books and submit weekly reports to the supervisor.
• Immediately report any accidents, regardless of severity.
• Ensure vehicle registration and insurance are current and updated as required.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Valid Class C Driver’s Licence.
• Proven ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
• At least three years of driving experience.
• Experience driving on farms and availability to work early morning hours will be an advantage.
