Position Overview: Customs Clearance Manager As the Customs Clearance Manager, you will oversee all customs clearance operations while providing expert guidance and support to the clearance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with government regulations and maintaining smooth communication with customers and regulatory agencies. Key Responsibilities for Customs Clearance Manager Jobs in Ndola Manage customer documentation and maintain clear, effective communication with clients. Build and sustain strong relationships with official and external agencies, including commodity inspection, maritime, ports, and other government regulatory bodies. Lead, train, and supervise the customs clearance team to ensure efficient daily operations. Develop, optimize, and enforce the company’s customs clearance processes and compliance systems to minimize operational risks. Monitor updates in customs, tax, and related government policies, interpreting changes and implementing internal response strategies promptly. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Clearing & Forwarding, International Trade, or a related discipline. Minimum of eight years’ experience in customs clearance, including at least three years in a management role. Possession of relevant certifications such as customs declarer qualifications is advantageous. Strong risk prevention awareness with a rigorous approach to compliance. Excellent problem-solving skills, resilience under pressure, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Proficiency in office software and customs clearance operating systems. Additional Requirements Residency in Ndola, Kitwe, or surrounding areas is mandatory. Exceptional communication and coordination abilities. Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills. Comprehensive knowledge of Zambian customs clearance regulations. Compensation and Work Location The gross monthly salary ranges from ZMW 22,000 to ZMW 35,000, negotiable for outstanding candidates. This position is based at our Sakania Yard in Ndola, where all interviews will be conducted in person.
