Role Overview: Quality Assurance Analyst Jobs in Lusaka

The Analyst – Quality Assurance & MoMo Apps plays a critical role in maintaining the stability, performance, and quality of MTN MoMo Zambia’s digital applications. Through comprehensive testing, structured QA processes, and continuous performance monitoring, the Analyst ensures all MoMo App updates meet stringent quality standards before deployment. Collaborating closely with Technology, Product, Group Fintech, and external partners, this role supports the MoMo Apps parity roadmap, API and feature releases, and contributes to delivering exceptional digital customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Manager: QA & MoMo Apps in implementing the digital quality strategy and MoMo Apps rollout roadmap.
  • Support localisation and enforcement of Group QA and MoMo App quality standards.
  • Participate in internal and cross-functional QA, UX, and product review sessions.
  • Execute QA projects, including UAT, regression testing, and full end-to-end QA cycles for MoMo Apps and digital channels.
  • Identify, escalate, and track defects, risks, and quality concerns impacting timelines or product stability.
  • Monitor app performance metrics such as user journeys, crashes, and stability to support continuous improvement.
  • Prepare comprehensive QA documentation including Test Plans, Test Cases, User Requirements, and Release Readiness Checklists.
  • Conduct usability tests, competitive assessments, and benchmark MoMo App UX.
  • Collaborate with Technology, Product, Commercial, and external partners to ensure quality-focused releases.
  • Ensure feature parity between USSD and MoMo App channels.
  • Provide regular QA updates, insights, and defect reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to QA processes to enhance quality outcomes.
  • Support budgeting inputs and adhere to QA and project budget requirements.
  • Contribute to improving customer experience, app usage, and digital channel reliability.
  • Participate in readiness assessments for new features, integrations, and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Promote an App-first mindset ensuring consistency and quality across MoMo digital channels.
  • Maintain compliance with governance frameworks, QA procedures, and testing standards.

Candidate Requirements

  • Grade 12 Certificate with at least 5 credits including English and Mathematics.
  • A degree in Computer Science, IT, Marketing, Commerce, or a related discipline, or equivalent specialization.
  • Postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in fintech, banking, or telecommunications, with exposure to product management, business analysis, or financial services.
  • Experience in UX/UI design for high-traffic applications.
  • Experience working within commercial teams is beneficial, with commercial acumen considered a plus.
