About the Accounts Payable Intern Role

As an Accounts Payable Intern, you will play a key role in assisting the finance department with supplier invoice processing, statement reconciliations, and payment scheduling. Your contributions will help ensure the integrity of financial records by supporting timely and accurate transaction postings and resolving discrepancies efficiently.

Key Responsibilities for Accounts Payable Intern Jobs in Lusaka

• Assist with supplier statement reconciliations and promptly address any discrepancies.
• Support the verification and processing of supplier invoices against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Ensure accurate and timely posting of accounts payable transactions into the financial system.
• Help prepare payment schedules and verify that all supporting documentation is complete and accurate.

Qualifications and Experience

• Completion of Grade 12 certificate is required.
• Diploma or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Progress toward or membership in a professional accounting body (e.g., ZICA) is advantageous.
• Between 0 to 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Basic understanding of accounts payable procedures and reconciliation processes.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
