Job description
Zambia National Building Society seeks to externally recruit a qualified, skilled, motivated, and energetic individual to fill the Network Engineer position under the ICT Directorate.
Position: Network Engineer
Grade: ZNBS 6
Job Purpose
To manage ZNBS computer network connections to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications.
Duties and Responsibilities
– Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including end-users, SMEs, project managers and senior staff members.
– Maintain expert knowledge on relevant technologies, industry best practices and provide proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders.
– Analyse performance information for audit and maintenance purposes so that network services and peripherals are efficiently and cost effectively provided.
– Provide day-to-day support of the business systems to ensure effective IT security on networks.
– Establish a sound IT network infrastructure management approach.
– Build resilience in the network.
Qualifications and Experience
– Grade Twelve (12) certificate.
– Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
– Certification in CCNA, A+, Network+ Certified, MCSA, TOGAF, ITILv4, COBIT 5 or Security+.
– Three (3) years relevant work experience.
– ICTAZ Membership.
