Job description
We Are Hiring: Junior Structural Engineer – Lusaka, Zambia
ASD Engineers Zambia is looking for a motivated Junior Structural Engineer to join our growing team.
This role is suitable for a young engineer with 1–3 years’ experience who is serious about developing strong technical skills in civil and structural engineering. The successful candidate will be mentored and trained under senior professional engineers and will be exposed to real project work, design coordination, detailing, reporting, and site-related engineering tasks.
Minimum requirements:
✅ BEng / BSc in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Civil & Structural Engineering
✅ 1–3 years’ relevant experience
✅ Strong CAD skills are essential
✅ Reinforcement detailing experience will be an added advantage
✅ Interest in structural design, concrete, steelwork, drawings, and construction support
✅ Good communication skills and willingness to learn
✅ Ability to work under guidance and take responsibility as competence grows
The role will involve assisting with reinforced concrete and structural steel design, preparation of layouts and detailed drawings, reinforcement detailing, design reports, site inspections, measurements, quantity verification, and project coordination under senior oversight.
