EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
The Council of ZCAS University invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the position of Vice Chancellor.
1. VICE CHANCELLOR
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chairperson of the University Council, the Vice Chancellor will oversee the planning, organization, coordination, and management of the university’s operations in line with the directives of the University Council.
Qualification and Experience
Grade 12 school certificate or equivalent with at least five credits including English and Mathematics;
An earned Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any relevant field of study from a reputable University;
An earned Master’s degree or equivalent in any relevant field of study from a reputable University;
An earned PhD in any relevant field or its equivalent;
A globally renowned scholar who must have attained at least the rank of Senior Lecturer or preferably Professor; and,
At least Ten (10) years of senior executive leadership experience with at least five (5) years in higher education.
Desirable skills and personality characteristics
A compelling vision of how ZCAS University should position itself and develop in the context of new opportunities and challenges (strategic leader and forward thinker);
Ability to articulate shared goals and mobilise and inspire others towards the vision;
Tenure
The appointment of the Vice-Chancellor shall be for an initial period of five (5) years.
Remuneration
A competitive remuneration package shall be offered to the successful candidate.
