SABOT ZAMBIA LIMITED 

Sabot Zambia Limited, a trusted cross border hauling company with proven record of enabling its customers’ success by delivering of superior service through cost-effective, reliable, safe and efficient movement of cargo while creating value through operating efficiencies and continuous improvement initiatives, is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions:

1.    Accountant     x 1   (Location – Kitwe)

Main Responsibilities

Reconcile prepayment accounts
Supervise petty cash
Account for Subcontractors
Expense Analysis and Reporting
Accounts Reconciliations at month end
Check entries performed by Assistant Accountant before system posting
Statutory Accounts Reporting-PAYE, NAPSA
Ensure that accounting reports are accurate and reported on time
Perform any other duties assigned by superiors

Qualifications and Experience

ACCA, CIMA, Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or related qualifications
Must be a member of ZICA
Full Grade 12 Certificate 
At least three years post-qualification experience  
Experience in the transport industry, an added advantage

2.    Chief Security Officer       x 1    (Location – Kitwe)

 Main Responsibilities

Managing and ensuring physical security of all company property and personnel
Ensuring physical inspection of building, equipment and motor vehicles
Supervising of contracted security firms’ personnel
Investigate and report accidents and ensuring they are promptly recorded
Conducting criminal investigating and pursuing of police reports
Manage premises access points and enforcement of security policies and procedures
Attend court cases on behalf of the company
Management of security records and preparation of routine reports

Qualifications and Experience

Five (5) years’ experience in security field
Experience as a commissioned police officer, an added advantage
Full Grade 12 Certificate
Good experience in information security, implementation of security policies and ensuring compliance.
Organized with proven leadership skills

3.    Book Out Clerk       x 1    (Location – Kitwe)

Main Responsibilities

Physical Inspection of fleet and daily planning of booking in and out of Trucks
Ensuring timely and correct pay out of Drivers’ trip allowance
Verification of loads documents validity and ensure that all are in order
Prepare and submit daily dispatch tracking reports to Operations controller and other stakeholders
Conduct and supervise daily stock checks on fleet equipment, tarpaulin, chains and binders, upright and corner plate serial numbers
Conduct and supervise effective truck hand over and take over in case of change of Drivers
Perform any other duties assigned by superiors

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum of Certificate in Chartered Institute of Logistics in Transport (CILT)
Full Grade Twelve (12) Certificate
At least two (2) years of experience in data capturing, processing and reports’ production.
Proficient with database systems
Experience in the transport industry, an added advantage

4.   Auto Mechanics       x 9    (Location – Kitwe, Lusaka, Kazungula)

Main Responsibilities

Conduct routine service/maintenance works on heavy duty trucks and light vehicles as and when required
Trouble shooting of complicated problems using a tech tool
Conduct all auto repairs and attend to breakdowns
Able to conduct trouble shooting of complicated problems using different technologies including Tech Tool
Able to attend to all vehicle systems including break system and suspension
Able to perform wheel alignment
Able to understand use of job cards and produce routine performance reports

Qualifications and Experience

Certificate/Diploma in Auto Mechanics from recognized training Institutions
Full Grade Twelve (12) Certificate
At least three (3) years of experience in a busy workshop
Experience/qualification in Auto Electricals an added advantage
Holder of clean valid driving license for manual vehicles is another added advantage
