Job Title: Truck Mechanic

Location: Lusaka

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues
Gather information from drivers about truck issues
Conduct inspections and tests to identify problems
Repair or replace faulty components
Provide estimated time and cost for repairs
Collaborate with team to ensure efficient service delivery

Requirements and Skills:

Strong understanding of truck mechanics, including engines, transmissions, and braking systems
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
Proficiency in repairing and maintaining mechanical components
Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software
Expertise in Atego, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, FAW and Scania trucks preferred
Good communication and teamwork skills
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Qualifications:

Completion of a mechanic certification program
3+ years of experience as a truck mechanic preferred
Valid Driver’s License
