Job Title: Truck Driver

Reports to: Transport Manager/Logistics Coordinator

Location: Lusaka

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a truck to transport goods and materials from one location to another. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to defensive driving practices and excellent navigation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

– Operate a truck safely and efficiently to transport goods and materials

– Plan and navigate routes to ensure timely delivery

– Load and unload cargo as required

– Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in good working condition

– Maintain accurate records of deliveries, hours worked, and vehicle maintenance

– Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally

– Comply with all traffic laws and regulations

Requirements:

– Minimum Grade 12 Certificate

– Defensive Driving Certificate

– Valid Driver’s License (Class C1 and above

– At least 2-3years of experience as a truck driver

– Good physical health and ability to lift heavy loads

– Excellent communication and navigation skills

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team

– Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving practices

Working Conditions:

– Work is performed in a fast-paced outdoor environment

– Exposure to varying weather

– Frequent travel and overnight stays may be required
