Job description
Position: Trainee Accountant
Contract: 6‑Months
Reporting Manager: Finance Manager
Location: Kasama District
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Accountant to join our Finance Department on a 6‑month training contract. The ideal candidate will be eager to build practical experience in accounting, financial reporting, and compliance within a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with preparation of financial statements and management reports
Support month‑end and year‑end processes
Perform reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
Provide administrative and analytical support to the Finance Manager
Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Degree in Finance and Accounting, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification
Member of ZICA (Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants)
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software
