Job description

Zambia Red Cross Society (ZRCS) in partnership with the Netherlands Red Cross is implementing a three years (2022 Nov -2025 Oct) Project -Community Based Health and Resilience – (CBHR 2- Project in Lusangazi Eastern Province of Zambia that’s aim is to improve Maternal and Child Health Wellbeing, Long distances to the nearest heath facilities, inadequate skilled staff, lack of mothers’ waiting shelters and delivery facilities as well as lack of proper and adequate medical equipment are other compounding factors affecting provision and timely access to quality Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (RMNCH) services.

In light to supplement government effort, ZRCS constructed two maternity Annexes/ Mothers shelters at Satellite and Refugee that will house antenatal Mothers who needed to travel longer distance to deliver at the clinic. Furthermore, provide conductive environment that will in turn increase institution deliveries. Subsequently, will reduce home deliveries and their associated consequences.

Bids must be submitted in the sealed envelopes and delivered in the tender box based to the following address:

on or before Wednesday 30th April,2025 at 5:00 P.M. Local time.

Any Bid received by ZRCS after the deadline for submission of Bids or non-sealed will be disqualified from evaluation.

Companies presenting incomplete documents will be excluded from the bidding process.

Any enquiry is only permitted in writing and up to two days before the deadline for the submission of the proposal. The answer will be sent by e-mail to all the bidders in a circular letter.

It is not permitted that local companies (registered in the country of the project) appear as joint-ventures or associate partners in more than one application.

Bids shall remain valid for a period of 60 days after the date of Bid opening.
