CALL FOR QUOTATIONS: SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF BEEHIVES- RFQ# IAP2025/2

Wuchi Wami Limited, a private firm in the honey value chain, empowers rural Zambians through strengthening an inclusive honey value chain through input financing, training, and guaranteed markets that enable smallholder beekeepers to access quality inputs and premium prices. Wuchi |Wami in so doing boots incomes, preserves forests and delivers premium organic honey and wellness products to local and global markets.

The Innovations Against Poverty (IAP) Challenge Fund Program

The Innovations Against Poverty (IAP) program, funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) and implemented by SNV, supports innovative, inclusive business models that engage and benefit low-income populations in Cambodia, Ethiopia, Uganda, and Zambia. This program operates a challenge fund to identify and support promising innovations that contribute to poverty reduction, inclusive development and delivers commercial value in these countries.

Based on its innovative and inclusive business model, Wuchi Wami, is one of the firms that was selected as a co-investment firm by |IAP program in Zambia. Under its IAP flagship project, \Wuchi Wami intends to procure beehives for its newly recruited 1000 smallholder farmers (SHFs) and hence is inviting eligible and reputable suppliers to submit quotations for the supply and delivery of Kenyan Top Bar Beehives to its six (6) project sites in Zambia.

Beehive Design Specifications

Type: Kenyan Top Bar Beehive
Number of Top Bars: 22
Dimensions per Top Bar: 716 mm × 32 mm × 280 mm
Constructed from durable, seasoned timber suitable for tropical conditions
Properly sealed and treated to resist termites and weather damage
Complete with hive stand, lid, and internal bars ready for use

Delivery and Quotation Conditions

Suppliers are eligible to apply for a maximum of two lots in separate locations, and the second lot is subject performance review for lot 1.
Deliveries shall be made in batches of not less than 500 units as per specific lots
Delivery period shall be within 2 weeks from the date of Purchase Order.
All beehives must meet the above specifications and will be subject to inspection upon delivery.
All interested suppliers can request for the Request for Proposals (RFQ) from Wuchi Wami through the shared email.
Quotations must include:
Unit cost and total cost
Delivery timeline
Be signed off
