ABOUT DIGITAL OFFICE SOLUTIONS LIMITED

Digital Office Solutions Limited (DOS) is a technology solutions company providing ICT systems integration, infrastructure, business applications and automation solutions to organisations across Zambia.

We are seeking a Technology & Solutions Manager to lead solution design and delivery, supervise IT staff and support business growth through high-level technical client engagements. The role requires a balanced understanding of ICT systems integration and business application development, together with practical leadership and strong presentation skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Solution Design and Client Engagement

  • Assess client requirements and design technology solutions aligned with their business objectives.
  • Lead solution architecture across ICT infrastructure, business applications and system integrations.
  • Prepare and deliver technical proposals, presentations and demonstrations to CEOs, directors and other senior decision-makers.
  • Explain solution benefits, costs, implementation requirements and technical risks clearly.
  • Support the Sales and Tender teams with technical specifications, compliance responses, solution designs and project estimates.
  • Engage technology partners and vendors to evaluate solutions and support business opportunities.

ICT Systems Integration

  • Oversee the implementation and support of networking, servers, storage, virtualisation, cybersecurity and related ICT solutions.
  • Lead complex integration assignments and the resolution of critical technical issues.
  • Review equipment specifications, configurations, testing procedures and handover documentation.
  • Ensure installations meet client requirements and appropriate performance, security and quality standards.

Business Applications and Automation

  • Guide the design, development, testing, deployment and support of business applications.
  • Translate business processes and client requirements into clear deliverables and acceptance criteria.
  • Review application designs, databases, APIs and integrations for suitability, reliability and security.
  • Oversee business process automation and integration between applications and ICT infrastructure.
  • Ensure applications are appropriately tested, documented and prepared for user adoption.

Staff Supervision and Project Delivery

  • Supervise IT staff, allocate work and monitor performance.
  • Manage project schedules, resources and delivery quality across infrastructure and application assignments.
  • Provide practical technical guidance, mentor staff and identify training needs.
  • Coordinate with Operations on procurement requirements, logistics and project resources.
  • Maintain technical documentation and provide progress reports to the COO.
  • Identify delivery risks early and take action to resolve them.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • At least five years of relevant experience in technology solutions, with experience across ICT systems integration and business application development.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising IT staff and managing technology projects.
  • Strong understanding of networking, servers, storage, virtualisation and cybersecurity.
  • Practical knowledge of application development lifecycles, databases, APIs, testing, deployment and system integration.
  • Ability to review solution designs and assess deliverables across both infrastructure and application projects.
  • Proven experience preparing technical proposals and presenting solutions to senior client stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting tenders and working with technology vendors will be an advantage.
  • Relevant technical or project management certifications will be an added advantage.

KEY ATTRIBUTES

  • Strong technical judgement and a practical approach to solving complex problems.
  • Confident presentation skills and the ability to explain technology in business terms.
  • Effective leadership, organisation and accountability for delivery.
  • Ability to balance client engagements, hands-on technical work and staff supervision.
