JOB PURPOSE:
The Technical / Reliability Engineer role shall source and develop analysis methods to determine reliability of client Products, components, and processes by acquiring and analysing data.Zambia job market
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
Technical Degree: An Associate’s degree (or equivalent) from a two-year college or technical school, specializing in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Experience & Expertise
Heavy Equipment Specialist: Extensive hands-on experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy mining equipment.
Technical Training: Advanced training in diagnostic and maintenance procedures for large-scale industrial machinery.
Analytical Skills: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems in a high-pressure mining environment.

Product Reliability & Analysis
Quality Control: Review all Product Improvement Reports (PIRs) to ensure they contain accurate data and meaningful information before submission.
Problem Solving: Investigate technical issues using “5-Why” methodologies to find the root cause of failures.
Communication & Factory Liaison
Factory Collaboration: Act as the main point of contact between the local service team and the Client’s manufacturing factories to resolve product issues.
Technical Support: Provide expert advice to the Service Manager and technical teams regarding equipment quality and reliability.
Field Implementation & Testing
Field Tests: Lead the implementation and reporting of all equipment field tests.
Field Support: Assist the Service Department in planning and executing field activities to document improvements in the work environment.
Documentation & Training
Manual Development: Help develop and refine service manuals, technical instructions, and engineering change requests.
Warranty Support: Assist with the warranty process by ensuring the technical details of every claim are clear, complete, and accurate.
Compliance & Safety
Policy Adherence: Ensure all local improvements follow the Client’s established policies (including specific policy MIN 302 37527, which covers standards for local modifications).
Safety Standards: Conduct all activities in strict accordance with company health and safety guidelines and local legislation.
