We are recruiting!
Our client in Lusaka, is looking for a Technical Director to join their team for a job vacancy within the Mining industry.

Overall Role Purpose
The Technical Advisor is responsible for specialized maintenance of Loading Units. He or she will support a core team of technicians to meet maintenance key performance indicators (KPIs). Included in the list of KPIs is:
– To minimize unplanned downtime. Target hours to first fault after service must be above 75 hours.
– To lead root cause analyses of failures and coordinate and track plans to prevent them thereafter. The target meantime between failures must be above 50 hours.
– Lead operational safety of maintenance crews to achieve 0 LTIs and 0 accidents.
– Optimize planned maintenance services to facilitate 0 delays on services.
Core Specific Responsibilities & Expected Deliverables
– Provide insightful technical and logistical support.
– Guide the Maintenance and repair organization with updated performance/execution information, KPIs, and management recommendations.
– Support the continuous improvement processes and initiatives and lead the defect elimination processes across the department.
Behavioral Traits / Personal Characteristics
– Must be of sound mind.
– Must be responsible, focused and self – motivated.
– Ability to interact with people and work cohesively with them.
– Must physically be capable of using and moving equipment and tools.
– Must be able to work under minimal supervision and pressure.
Qualifications & Experience
– At least 10 years of experience in Hydraulics: Knowledgeable in Hydraulics principles, hydraulic components identification, and operational principles, read hydraulics schematics, knowledgeable in Electro-hydraulic systems, troubleshooting, defect identification by using reading hydraulic instruments and hydraulics schematics, servicing of hydraulics components.
– Training/Experience in / Knowledge of Maintenance Supervision, Total Process Reliability, Microsoft Project, 6-sigma, etc.is an added advantage
– Experience in using engineering management software Pronto.
– At least 10 years in a hydraulic technician role. Supervisory Experience is an advantage.
– Must have a valid driver’s licence
– All certificates must be certified by ZAQA
