VACANCY ADVERTISEMENT: SUPERVISOR – SHOVELS

Reporting to the Coordinator – Shovels and Excavators, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and performance optimization of shovel fleets at Lumwana.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Supervise daily activities of LMC technicians and OEM service teams involved in shovel maintenance.
Manage and prioritize work orders, ensuring accurate documentation and timely approvals.
Schedule and coordinate shovel repairs, component replacements, and major change-outs.
Work collaboratively with maintenance planners and operations teams to align maintenance schedules and production plans.
Analyze equipment performance data to identify opportunities for uptime improvement.
Lead initiatives to maximize plant and shovel availability through process, systems, and planning improvements.
Ensure shovel assets are maintained to OEM standards and operational requirements.

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
Minimum of a Craft Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical or other related Engineering field.
Significant 6 years’ experience in Heavy Earthmoving Equipment maintenance.
Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia
Experience supervising maintenance activities in a mining environment (shovels experience essential).
Valid Zambian driver’s license.
Proven ability to lead and coordinate technical teams.
Familiarity with maintenance planning systems and reliability principles. (E.g SAP, Pronto and proficiency in Excel)
Strong leadership and communication skills.
