Stores Supervisor (01)

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Stores Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring an efficient and well-controlled stock management system. The role includes overseeing procurement, stock planning, security, and compliance with company policies to minimize risks such as fraud and inventory loss.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

Reports to: Head of Finance

Interacts with: All staff related to stock & procurement functions

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Implement and maintain an effective stock control system.
Oversee the procurement process to align with company policies.
Maintain and update Sage Pastel with accurate stock records
Ensure proper Bin Locations for all stock and maintain correct records.
Establish secure and organized storage facilities.
Monitor and enforce adherence to FIFO (First-In-First-Out) policy to prevent stock obsolescence.
Ensure all stock purchases comply with procurement policies and minimize risks of fraud.
Conduct regular stock audits and maintain accurate inventory records.
Generate and present stock age analysis reports and stock movement reports to management on a monthly basis.
Ensure timely and accurate recording of all received goods in Sage Pastel.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement,  or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in stores management, inventory control, or procurement.
Proficiency in Sage Pastel or similar stock management software.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to enforce security measures and stock control policies.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY:

Proficient in Sage Evolution and Microsoft Office.
