Job Role: Stock Controller

Responsibilities

To provide efficient, quality customer retention and service.

• Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS).
• Enter purchase details (vendor’s information, invoices and pricing) into internal databases.
• Place orders to replenish merchandise as needed.
• Track shipments and address any delays.
• Oversee storage of products, particularly of fragile items.
• Evaluate suppliers’ offers and negotiate profitable deals.
• Coordinate regular inventory audits.
• Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products’ quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions).
• Keep updated inventory records (including daily shipments).
• Ensure purchases do not exceed budget.

Education/Experience

• Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Computer certificate or a diploma in Computer Studies.
• Diploma in Purchase and Supply (is an added advantage).
• 1–2 years of experience in Stock Management.
• Basic knowledge in data analysis.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Physical fitness and ability to work at heights.
• Candidate should be medically fit.

Skills, Abilities, Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications

• Basic maths skills.
• Basic knowledge in computer skills (proficient in Excel).
• Honesty and trustworthiness.
• Age requirement – usually 18+ in Zambia.

Physical Exam Required: Medical Report & Police Clearance
