Stock Controller Jobs in Ngwerere Distribution Center
Mika Express Limited is inviting applications for the position of Stock Controller at its Ngwerere Distribution Center. This role offers a contract opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to oversee and manage inventory control operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in stock handling. About the Stock Controller Role
Reporting directly to the Inventory Manager and Supply Chain Manager, the Stock Controller will be responsible for maintaining precise stock records, minimizing discrepancies, and ensuring seamless stock operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, a proactive mindset, and exceptional attention to detail to support the distribution center’s operational goals.
Key Responsibilities for Stock Controller Jobs in Ngwerere
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records, tracking all movements in and out of the warehouse.
- Regularly reconcile physical stock with system records to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Conduct periodic physical audits and cycle counts, preparing detailed reports for management review.
- Ensure proper storage of stock in compliance with company policies and health & safety standards.
- Organize inventory to facilitate easy access and efficient stock rotation.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on stock levels, movements, and variances, offering insights for process improvements.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to maintain optimal stock availability.
- Identify opportunities to enhance stock control processes and recommend workflow or technology improvements.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior staff on best practices and system usage.
Qualifications and Experience
- A diploma or higher qualification in Accounting, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
- At least five years of practical experience in inventory management or stock control, preferably within a distribution center or warehouse setting.
- Strong knowledge of stock control procedures and inventory management software.
- Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and problem-solving.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks independently while maintaining high standards.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, integrity, and professionalism under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other relevant inventory tools.
