                       STOCK CONTROLLER

A member of the Omnia group of companies, Bulk Mining Explosives Limited (BME) is a leading manufacturer and supplier of Bulk Emulsion Explosives. BME seeks applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill in the position of STOCK CONTROLLER to be based in Solwezi

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Stock Controller will be oversee and manager stock in BME Zambia, ensuring accurate stock levels, minimizing of waste and optimizing the flow of stock.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·     Managing the movement, storage and trucking of products.

·     Placing orders to replenish inventories

·     Oversee stock audits

·     Maintain accurate record of stock according to stock management systems according to set standards.

·     Collaborate with production personnel to ensure stock is available

·     Conduct regular stock counts

·     Track and ensure timely delivery of stock

·     Work closely with site administrators

·     Identify potential areas of stock loss or theft and implement measures to stop shrinkage

·     Develop processes that ensure accountability for inventory handled in various sites

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

·     A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration or related field.

·     A minimum of three years’ experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

·     Proficiency in any stock management software.

·     Strong knowledge of excel and data analysis.

·     Good computer skills

 OTHER REQUIREMENTS

·     Valid driver’s license

·     Flexibility to work long hours during busy periods.
