Job Description
Operating and maintaining the dishwashing equipment efficiently and effectively.
Ensuring cleanliness of the Kitchen, team member canteen and Storage areas to meet health and safety standards.
Thoroughly cleaning pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils.
Providing clean equipment to kitchen staff in a timely manner.
Performing special cleaning tasks as assigned by supervisors and management.
Maintaining high sanitation standards throughout the facility.
Organizing and storing clean dishes and utensils appropriately.
Identifying and reporting equipment malfunctions promptly.
Assisting in inventory management of cleaning supplies.
Handling cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with regulations.
Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
Participating in training sessions to enhance job-related skills.
Maintaining a clean and organized personal workspace.
Ensuring proper waste disposal and recycling practices.
Contributing to a positive work environment through professionalism and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Certificate or equivalent vocational training and full grade 12 certificate
• Must have worked at least one year experience as a Steward in luxury Safaris or 5-star hotel establishment.
• Perform duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy and follow-through.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
• Strongly committed to teamwork and customer service.
