In its quest to improve service delivery, the NPA invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following position:

POSITION: STATE ADVOCATE

Salary Scale: NPA/04
Number of Positions: Nineteen (19)

Reports to: Senior State Advocate

Duty Stations

Chipata, Katete, Kafue, Luangwa, Kitwe, Ndola (2), Choma, Monze, Kasama (2), Kabwe, Kapiri Mposhi, Mkushi, Kawambwa, Solwezi, Mufumbwe, Kabompo, and Mongu

Main Job Purpose

To prosecute criminal cases in all courts of Zambia in order to bring offenders to justice.Post jobs free

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Effectively prosecute criminal cases to facilitate the proper dispensation of justice

Timely processing of dockets and issuance of summary trial certificates to expedite delivery of justice

Render legal opinions to government departments and provide legal guidance on complaints from members of the public relating to criminal law

Guide and direct law enforcement agencies in the conduct of criminal investigations to ensure proper administration of justice

Qualifications and Work Experience

Grade Twelve (12) Certificate or its equivalentLusaka job listings

LLB Degree and Advocate of the High Court of Zambia

Must be a Zambian citizen
