Position: Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher
Location: Livingstone, Zambia
Curriculum: Cambridge Primary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our growing school in Livingstone. The successful candidate will bring patience, creativity, and expertise in supporting diverse learning needs, while ensuring all children can access and thrive within the Cambridge curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

– Plan and deliver tailored sessions and interventions that meet the individual needs of students with learning differences.
– Adapt Cambridge Primary curriculum materials to ensure accessibility and inclusion.
– Assess and monitor student progress, creating and implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
– Work closely with classroom teachers, parents, and specialists to provide coordinated support.
– Create a positive, supportive learning environment that builds confidence and independence.
– Contribute to whole-school development, ensuring inclusive practices are embedded across the school.

Person Specification / Criteria

– Recognised qualification or training in Special Educational Needs.
– Experience working with children with a range of learning needs (essential).
– Familiarity with the Cambridge Curriculum.
– Strong communication and collaboration skills with both children and adults.
– Patient, empathetic, and adaptable with a child-centred approach.
– A team player who will thrive in a school community.
