About Us
Bumara is an AI-powered ERP platform built for African businesses. Our solution brings together compliance, accounting, payroll, CRM, inventory, and document management — helping organizations save time, reduce costs, and grow with confidence.
We’re looking for a Software Engineer (Full-Stack) to join our team and contribute directly to building features that matter to businesses across Zambia and beyond.
What You’ll Do
Design, build, and maintain scalable web and backend applications.
Collaborate with co-founders and the product team to deliver core ERP modules.
Work with modern tools like Next.js, React, Convex, Appwrite, Hono, TypeScript, Go and Tailwind.
Implement secure and efficient database structures (SQL/NoSQL).
Participate in testing, code reviews, and continuous integration.
Explore and contribute to AI-powered features within the platform.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a full-stack developer (or strong frontend/backend with willingness to learn the other side).
Solid skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like React/Next.js.
Backend experience with Node.js, Express, Hono or backend-as-a-service tools (Convex, Firebase, Appwrite)
Strong understanding of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).
Ability to work in a startup environment: self-driven, collaborative, and flexible.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
Experience with SaaS platforms, ERP systems or Payments systems.
Knowledge of AI integrations (e.g., OpenAI APIs, Anthropic APIs, MCP protocals).
Familiarity with Zambian regulatory systems (ZRA, PACRA, NAPSA).
