SHIFT BOSS – MINING PRODUCTION

Maamba Energy Limited is recruiting for the position of Shift Boss – Mining Production, based in Maamba, Sinazongwe District, Southern Province.

Key Responsibilities

• Allocate shift tasks and supervise execution of approved production plans.
• Monitor production, equipment utilisation, haul routes and stockpile activities.
• Enforce safety standards, mine rules and operating procedures.
• Identify and address hazards, delays, equipment constraints and non-compliance.
• Supervise operators, crews and contractors and provide performance feedback.
• Prepare accurate shift reports and ensure effective handovers.
• Recommend improvements in safety, productivity and operational performance.

Required Qualifications

• Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
• Diploma/Degree in Mining Engineering, Mine Operations, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Supervisory or frontline leadership training is preferred.
• Professional registration or eligibility with EIZ/ERB is advantageous.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in mining operations or production supervision.
• At least 1–2 years’ experience supervising crews, operators or contractors is preferred.
• Experience in safety enforcement, equipment coordination, shift reporting and incident escalation is required.
• Open-cast coal mining and contractor coordination experience are advantageous.
