Job description
Kawambwa Sugar Limited is seeking a qualified and motivated SHEQ Supervisor to support the implementation of the company’s Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Management System across farming operations.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Conduct SHEQ inspections and compliance monitoring across operational areas.
- Support hazard identification, risk assessments and incident investigations.
- Monitor implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Deliver SHEQ inductions, toolbox talks and awareness programmes.
- Monitor PPE compliance, emergency preparedness and environmental controls.
- Conduct compliance audits and maintain SHEQ records and reports.
- Supervise contractor SHEQ compliance and support operational managers in maintaining safe work practices.
- Serve as the first point of contact for operational SHEQ matters.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Quality Management, Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Relevant SHEQ certifications and First Aid/Fire Fighting training will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in SHEQ, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Agricultural Operations, Community Development, or a related field.
- Experience in inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations and compliance monitoring is essential.
- Experience in agricultural or industrial environments will be an added advantage.
