Job description

Kawambwa Sugar Limited is seeking a qualified and motivated SHEQ Supervisor to support the implementation of the company’s Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Management System across farming operations.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Conduct SHEQ inspections and compliance monitoring across operational areas.
  • Support hazard identification, risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Monitor implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Deliver SHEQ inductions, toolbox talks and awareness programmes.
  • Monitor PPE compliance, emergency preparedness and environmental controls.
  • Conduct compliance audits and maintain SHEQ records and reports.
  • Supervise contractor SHEQ compliance and support operational managers in maintaining safe work practices.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for operational SHEQ matters.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Quality Management, Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Relevant SHEQ certifications and First Aid/Fire Fighting training will be an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in SHEQ, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Agricultural Operations, Community Development, or a related field.
  • Experience in inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations and compliance monitoring is essential.
  • Experience in agricultural or industrial environments will be an added advantage.
