Job description

The Zambia Law Development Commission (ZLDC), a statutory body established under the Zambia Law Development Commission Act, Chapter 32 of the Laws of Zambia, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced Zambians.

Job Purpose

To support the Commission’s law reform mandate through information management, public legal education, and dissemination of law reform work to promote public understanding and participation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage legal and research information resources, including the library function.
  • Disseminate information arising from law reform work, including reports, proposed Bills, and recommendations.
  • Facilitate public access to law reform information and promote public participation.
  • Maintain institutional records and track status and uptake of law reform recommendations.
  • Supervise Research Officers and the Library Officer and manage delivery of assigned outputs.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Full Form V/Grade 12 School Certificate.
  • Bachelor of Arts Degree in Information Studies, Library Science, Law, Public Policy, Education, or related field.
  • At least five (5) years relevant experience in information management, research support, or public education.
  • Digital and visual communication ability is an added advantage.
  • Minimum two (2) years experience in a formal supervisory role.
