Reporting to Superintendent – Innovation and Technology, the Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for transforming learning data into meaningful insights that drive workforce capability and organizational performance. This role is responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of training programs, identifying skill gaps, and providing evidence-based recommendations to enhance learning strategies. By leveraging advanced analytics, reporting tools, and data governance practices, the Senior Data Analyst ensures that learning initiatives are aligned with business needs, measurable outcomes, and long-term talent development goals.

Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Analyze training data from Damstra ( LMS) to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Ensure compliance tracking of mandatory training, expiration dates and permit renewals.
Lead end-to-end analysis of learning programs, assessment results, completion rates, and performance improvements.
Develop methods for measuring ROI of training initiatives.
Design and maintain interactive dashboards (Power BI/Excel) to track learning KPIs, compliance training status and training ROI for management.
Develop and implement data collection strategies such as evaluation forms and LMS tracking enhancements to improve data accuracy and insight quality.
Mentor data analysts in data analysis techniques.
Evaluate and implement new data analysis tools, platforms, and methodologies.
Lead data quality audits and implement corrective measures.
Continuously assess and improve learning programs based on data-driven feedback.
Support digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives across LMC.
Prepare data-backed insights for audits, management reviews, and operational meetings.
To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
Full Grade 12 School Certificate
Diploma or Degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or ralated field.
Professional certificates in data analytics, BI tools, or database management are an added advantage.
3 – 5 years’ experience in data analytics or business intelligence in Mining industry is preferred.
Good computer skills with the ability to use integrate management systems, word processing, Presentation, and spreadsheet applications
Experience with systems such as Damstra and SAP.
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
