Sales Representative – Agronomy

Job description

We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Sales Representative – Agronomy Products to drive sales and support customers within the Agricultural sector. This is a mid-entry level opportunity for candidates with relevant qualifications and practical experience in agriculture or agronomy.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and sell seeds, fertilizers, crop protection products, and other agronomic solutions.
• Build and maintain relationships with farmers, commercial growers, agro-dealers, and agricultural stakeholders.
• Conduct field visits and provide technical advice on crop management practices.
• Identify new sales opportunities and grow the customer portfolio.
• Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and market intelligence updates.
• Organize and participate in product demonstrations, field days, and promotional campaigns.
• Achieve sales targets and support business growth initiatives.
• Follow up on customer enquiries and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Agriculture, Agricultural Extension, or a related field.
• 2 years of relevant experience in agronomy, agricultural sales, crop production, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of crop production, fertilizers, seeds, and crop protection products.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage.
• Must be based in Lusaka or willing to relocate.
