Sales & Marketing Officer – Lusaka/Kitwe

Location: Lusaka/Kitwe, Zambia (with travel across Zambia as required)

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute effective sales and marketing strategies to increase sales of commercial vehicles and equipment.
  • Manage customer relationships by providing expert product consultations and demonstrations.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations, and negotiate contracts to secure deals.
  • Collaborate with after-sales, parts, and service teams to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and implement marketing initiatives including promotions, trade shows, digital campaigns, and product launches.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and generate regular performance reports.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing to provide insightful market intelligence to management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2 to 4 years of proven sales and/or marketing experience, preferably within the automotive, heavy equipment, transport, or construction sectors.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Knowledge of commercial vehicle and equipment products and familiarity with the Zambian market is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and CRM systems.
  • Valid driver’s license with a willingness to travel extensively.

Sales Manager – Lusaka/Kitwe

Positions Available: 2

The Sales Manager will oversee the new vehicle division, spearheading sales strategy development, mentoring a team of sales executives, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies and forecasts for the new vehicle department.
  • Generate qualified leads and support sales conversion activities.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to inform campaigns and initiatives.
  • Manage digital marketing efforts to increase online engagement and brand visibility.
  • Coordinate campaigns, events, exhibitions, and other promotional activities.
  • Ensure showroom standards are maintained and timely sales reports are submitted.
  • Lead recruitment, training, and motivation of a high-performing sales team to surpass targets.
  • Oversee the entire sales pipeline to deliver a seamless customer journey from inquiry to delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Monitor sales performance through detailed reporting, presenting insights to senior management.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA is an advantage.
  • 5 to 7 years of proven experience as a Sales Manager or Team Leader within the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and MS Office Suite for sales data analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Strong track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • In-depth knowledge of the new vehicle market, financing options, and industry trends.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Thorough understanding of sales principles, customer service best practices, and market dynamics.
  • Commitment to compliance with standard operating procedures and administrative requirements.
  • Data-driven approach with the ability to interpret sales metrics and inform strategic decisions.
  • Valid driver’s license is mandatory.
