Job description
Sales Engineer
Ndola
Position Summary
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing key customer relationships, and driving revenue growth across assigned regions and accounts. The role requires strong technical sales experience in mechanical and instrumentation products within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Mining, and related industrial sectors.
Key Responsibilities:

Identify new business opportunities and generate RFQs

Perform market research, competitor analysis, and support business development activities.

Handle customer inquiries, RFQs, and techno-commercial quotations.

Assist in preparing quotations, proposals, presentations, and customer communications.
-
Coordinate with principals/manufacturers for technical and commercial support.
-
Follow up on offers, negotiate orders, and support closure of sales opportunities.
-
Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
-
Support order execution and ensure timely delivery to customers.
-
Support payment follow-ups and commercial documentation activities.
-
Monitor market opportunities in O&G, Mining, Power, Cement and F&B industries etc.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
-
Diploma in Engineering or related field.
-
Minimum 2 years’ Experience in industrial sales / trading of Mechanical and Instrumentation products.

Knowledge of Pipes, Valves, Flanges, Fittings, and Instrumentation items.
-
Experience in logistics coordination and supplier management is preferred.
-
Good communication, negotiation, and customer coordination skills.

Ability to prepare techno-commercial quotations and handle RFQs.

Proficiency in MS Office and commercial documentation.

Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
