About the Sales Assistant Role
As a Sales Assistant, you will play a key role in driving in-store sales, supporting marketing promotions, and enhancing the customer shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include welcoming customers, assisting with product selection, maintaining attractive merchandise displays, and supporting the Store Supervisor with daily store operations. You will also handle returns, conduct stock-takes, price and label items, and ensure the sales floor and fitting rooms remain clean and well-organized.
Key Responsibilities for Sales Assistant Jobs in Lusaka
Greet and engage customers to understand their needs and provide tailored product advice.
Assist shoppers in locating merchandise and offer guidance on product selection.
Manage stock control, including receiving deliveries, labeling, pricing, and organizing merchandise.
Maintain security within the store by monitoring for shoplifting and fraudulent activities.
Support store promotions by setting up displays and keeping up to date with marketing initiatives.
Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently at checkout.
Work closely with the Store Supervisor to conduct stocktaking and maintain store standards.
Perform opening and closing store procedures as required.
Address customer complaints professionally and suggest appropriate solutions.

Qualifications and Experience
Advanced Certificate or Diploma in Sales and Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Minimum of three years’ experience in retail clothing sales within a multi-brand store environment.
Proven track record of floor sales and marketing success in retail.
Strong knowledge of current fashion trends and consumer preferences across different age groups.
Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software.
Exceptional customer service and complaint management capabilities.
