Job description

Zambia Postal Services Corporation (Zampost), a State-Owned Enterprise mandated to provide postal, courier, and financial services across the country, is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the position of Sales and Marketing Officer.

Job Title: Sales & Marketing Officer (1)

Grade: ZPSC7

Unit/Section: Commercial Services

Reporting Line: Manager – Commercial Services.

Station: Ndola Post Office

Town: Ndola

Type of Employment: Permanent & Pensionable

Purpose of Role

To implement sales and marketing strategies that promote ZAMPOST products and services, enhance brand visibility, expand market reach, and drive revenue growth, while providing effective administrative support to the Commercial Services function.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

Support the implementation of sales strategies for postal, logistics, financial, and digital services.
Identify target markets, sales opportunities, and potential customers.
Plan and execute marketing campaigns, promotions, and awareness programmes.
Recruit, onboard, and coordinate sales agents in line with approved guidelines.
Monitor and support sales agents’ performance to achieve set targets.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, agents, clients, contracts, and reports.
Provide administrative support including documentation, scheduling, and coordination of sales activities.
Engage customers, gather market feedback, and support customer acquisition and retention initiatives.
Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales and marketing strategies.
Coordinate sales, marketing, and administrative activities with internal teams and external partners.

Results-driven and customer-focused mind-set.
Analytical ability to interpret sales, market, and performance data.
Strong planning, coordination, and teamwork skills.

 Qualifications/Requirements

Full Grade Twelve Certificate with at least five (5) credits including English and Mathematics.
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in sales, marketing, business development, or coordination of sales teams/agents.
