Kalene Lending and Inv Ltd invites applications for the position of Sales and Collections Clerks based in Lusaka, Zambia. We are seeking energetic, results-driven professionals with a passion for microfinance and community engagement to join our team. About the Sales and Collections Clerk Role

The successful candidates will be stationed primarily in Matero and Kanyama, including their surrounding areas. Reporting directly to the Loan Officer or Operations Manager, you will play a key role in enhancing Kalene’s brand visibility through active marketing and delivering flexible financing solutions to our clients. Your responsibilities will include accurate loan processing and ensuring timely collections, all while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities in Sales and Collections Clerk Jobs in Lusaka

  • Sales & Marketing: Promote Kalene’s financial products and distribute promotional materials to increase brand awareness within assigned communities.
  • Client Relations: Professionally manage customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback to maintain high service standards.
  • Target Achievement: Actively contribute to meeting weekly goals related to loan disbursements, collections, and arrears management.
  • Loan Processing: Ensure prompt and accurate processing of loan applications, including data entry and contract preparation.
  • Collections & Monitoring: Maintain timely collection of loans and monitor assigned areas to identify early warning signs of potential defaults.
  • Market Intelligence: Provide regular updates on competitor activities within the microfinance sector to inform strategic decisions.
  • Networking: Develop and expand a strong network within your catchment area to foster business growth and client referrals.

Candidate Requirements

  • Education: Minimum Grade 12 Certificate with proficiency in Mathematics and English.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are essential.
  • Professionalism: A pleasant personality, professional demeanor, and well-groomed appearance are required.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Diploma in a business-related field.
    • Residence within Matero, Kanyama, or the immediate surrounding areas.

Working Relationships

You will collaborate closely with the Loan Officer and other internal departments to ensure smooth operational support. Externally, maintaining professional relationships with existing and prospective customers, as well as other microfinance institutions, is essential for success in this role.
