Harmony Prosper (Z) Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Safety Officer to enhance our health and safety team based in Ndola, Copperbelt, Zambia. Position Overview: Safety Officer Jobs in Ndola

As a Safety Officer with Harmony Prosper (Z) Ltd, you will be entrusted with upholding workplace safety standards and promoting a culture of health and safety excellence. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough safety inspections, assessing risks, and implementing effective health and safety procedures. You will also lead investigations into incidents, prepare detailed safety reports, and deliver employee safety training sessions, including toolbox meetings. Ensuring the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining accurate safety documentation are key components of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive workplace safety inspections and risk assessments
  • Implement and continuously monitor health and safety policies and procedures
  • Investigate workplace incidents and prepare detailed safety reports
  • Lead employee safety training and toolbox meetings to reinforce safe practices
  • Ensure proper use and compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) standards
  • Maintain and update all safety records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements

Candidate Requirements

  • Diploma or Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a similar safety officer role
  • Valid HPCZ (Health Professions Council of Zambia) certification
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively manage safety initiatives

Location and Contract Details

This contract position is based in Ndola, Copperbelt, Zambia. Candidates must be willing to work onsite and actively engage with teams to promote a safe working environment.
